Stefania Straino
Stefania Straino graduated in as Laboratory Technician in 1998 at the La Sapienza University (Rome, Italy) and later pursued a specialization in animal models at Tor Vergata University (Italy) in 2004. Prior to join Explora, she worked for Technical at the Laboratory of Vascular Pathology at IDI-IRCCS, at the Laboratory of Human Biopathology, at the Institute of Experimental Medicine of CNR and at the Institute of Cell Biology of the CNR.
Her main research interests concern diabetes (mouse model), angiogenesis and wound healing (in vivo and in vitro studies); mouse, rat and rabbit model of hindlimb ischemia (femoral artery dissection); mouse, rat, rabbit and pig model of myocardial infarction (coronary artery ligation); histology and microscopy.
